World Sickle Cell Day 2020

Friday 19th June is recognised as World Sickle Cell Day, a day designated to raise awareness on Sickle Cell Disease.

This year, we are calling on you to help us celebrate this day, in order to bring more awareness on the disease and support those living with sickle cell. It’s also a day in which to celebrate the amazing achievements of those living with the condition.

Introducing #Red4Sickle

This year, we would like to challenge you all to post an image or short video clip on Instagram of you wearing a red item in support of World Sickle Cell Day. We ask you to tag us in your picture and add the hashtag #Red4Sickle so we can share your posts.

Winners will receive a special reward and be featured in our next edition of the “Inspiring Times magazine”

We will also be posting some fun facts throughout the week, so make sure to check out our social media platforms!

In light of the current difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we would kindly ask you to do the following:

  • Support each other and keeping in touch with each other, particularly those who are more at risk
  • Practice social distancing measures (More information can be found here)
  • Join us in raising awareness on Sickle Cell Disease on the 19th June
