A public education awareness of SCD in Ireland.

Special Guests: Dr Corrina McMahon, Consultant Haematologist, Crumlin Children’s Hospital; Miss Ijeoma Nwabuezi, St Patricks Hospital Dublin.

Event Organised By: Ireland Sickle Cell Awareness

Guests included:

  1. Mrs Sylvia Katete Gavigan (Ugandan consular Ireland).
  2. Miss Rosemary (Genetics and counselling services Our Children’s hospital Crumlin)
  3. Miss Mary Bell (Learning and education Centre St James Hospital Dublin)
  4. Dr Eibhlin Conneely (Consultant haematologist St James Hospital Dublin.
  5. People living with SCD, families, friends and well-wishers.

Our major campaign was to encourage genetic screening for Sickle Cell disease and promoting the need for awareness throughout the country.
